About CVPC

"The mission of Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is to spread the Word and share the love of God in Jesus Christ."

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is a Worshiping Community. We have three services each Sunday. The services have different personalities but share in the commitment to preaching the Word of God as revealed in the Scriptures of the Bible:

Daybreak (8:30 a.m. Family Life Center) - “Acoustic Contemporary Service”

Traditional (10:00 a.m - Sanctuary) Liturgical service with full Chancel Choir and pipe organ music.

Adoración (5:00 p.m. - Sanctuary) Spanish-language service

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is a Teaching and Training Community. We take seriously Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 - “teach them to obey everything I have commanded.” Educational opportunities for children of all ages from 2 to 92 (and even above) are provided. Bible studies, Women’s Circles, Covenant Groups, Life Groups, special seminars, and other special events are available to assist people to grow in their faith through study and fellowship. We want to equip all who come through our doors to be ambassadors for Jesus Christ, faithful disciples who continually grow in their love and devotion to God.

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is a Praying Community. We believe that one of the primary responsibilities of believers is to humble ourselves and present our cares and concerns before God. We believe that God answers prayers, heals, restores, sustains and builds-up, and transforms us through prayer.

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is a Sending Community. We want to be a blessing to our community, to our nation, and to our world. We are committed to providing opportunities for every member to participate in mission, whether it is expressing compassion through acts of kindness locally; to international mission work or to a more formalized theological education leading to entry into ordained ministry.

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church is a Joyful Community. It is just plain fun to be a part of a community of believers who love the Lord, love one another, and have a good time in fellowship together. There is always room for more if you are new to the area, are not a member of another church, or if you have never been a part of a church, we invite you to take a look around and prayerfully discern whether God is calling you to make this your church home.
