The Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM) allows the children to
encounter God and His Word through a variety of experiences. Kids rotate
by class into a different workshop each week for a minimum four week period.
During that period of time, the story they learn is the same in each
workshop. Our workshops include:
Creation Station/Art—Children
use art and a variety of mediums to demonstrate understanding of the
Word of God, and to tell His stories.
ARKade—Children
participate actively in games, puzzles, discussions, etc. to learn and
understand the Word of God.
Holy Stars/Drama—Children
dramatize the Word of God to develop better understanding of and insight
to the story. They learn the story by being the story through drama,
puppetry, etc.
McMannas/Kitchen—Children
prepare and eat food as an illustration of the Bible story, whether in
direct relation to the story or as a symbol.
GTV—Children
experience the Word of God through video viewing, scripture and
discussion.
www.kidzinc—In
our computer lab, children experience God's story through interactive CD
programs.
Luke's Lab/Science—Through
a variety of simple science experiments, the stories and people of the
Bible are seen and felt in new ways.
Harp's & Lyres/Music—Through
rhythm, song and dance children experience God's word and understand the
story.
